I was thinking about trying something different with my pasta salad. And that would be dicing up the purple onion and mixing the greek dressing together and then cookin on low heat. Would that enhance flavor?Does this make a better Greek Pasta Salad flavor wise?
To make a better Greek pasta salad:
First fill the pot about 戮 full with water and bring it to a boil. Just add the pasta to the boiling water and cook according to the package directions.Drain the cooked pasta in the colander, add it to the mixing bowl then add the olive oil and red wine vinegar while the pasta is still warm. Dice the tomatoes and slice the onion, cucumber and olives, then add them all to the mixing bowl.Chop the fresh oregano and add to the mixing bowl. Crumble then add the feta cheese. Stir all the ingredients together, cover with plastic wrap then place in the refrigerator to chill for at least one hour.Does this make a better Greek Pasta Salad flavor wise?
Hmmmmm....greek salad is usually served cold and commercially made dressings are really nice. To your pasta salad, add:
Kalamata olives (I prefer black in my pasta salad)
Crumbled feta cheese
Chopped red bell pepper
Chopped cucumbers
Caramelized onions or chopped green onion
Chopped sopressata or a good hard salami
