Is this a good diet for losing 15 lbs in 8 weeks?

Hi



I's a 5'7.5'' 23 year old male who weighs in the high 150s (Like 158ish to be exact). I would like to drop about 15 lbs (down to like 145 lbs) in the next 8 weeks (2 months).....Here is the "diet plan" I just started following and will continue to follow until then. Do you think I can reach my goal by following this plan? If not, what should be changed?



Breakfast: Greek yogurt (100 calories) %26amp; 1 cup blueberries (80 calories)

Snack 1: 10 strawberries

Lunch: egg white omelette with 1 tbsp measured feta cheese, salsa and 105 cals worth of steamed brocoli

Snack 2: apple

Dinner: large salad with protein....basically this salad is all raw vegetables (lettuce, mushrooms, peppers, cucumbers, onion) and would have a protein like 1-2 grilled chicken breasts and measured low fat dressing (70 calories worth) and egg whites of a hard boiled egg.



Exercise: 8 miles walk/jog combination DAILY (7 days a week)...



0 calorie drinks with the exception of 20 calories of creamer in my morning coffee....

You need to eat some more and different things. Like add 1/2 cup of oatmeal from the can to your breakfast and putting your blueberries in it for flavor. For lunch instead of your omelette eat a salad with 2 eggs crumbled in it or 3 oz of salmon and some oil dressing. Pretty much substitute your salad at dinner for your lunch and then find another veggie, like broccoli to use for dinner. Eat 1 grilled chicken breast not 2. Don't use a cream dressing for your dressings even if they are low fat. You need more veggies in your diet than you are getting. Veggies have protein in them so you don't actually need to OD on meat and eggs.

Ditch that luna bar. That is terrible for you. Eat some veggies and hummus for a snack or some nuts.

Jim an egg only has 90 calories and 7 grams of fat. That isn't a lot.Is this a good diet for losing 15 lbs in 8 weeks?
This diet plan does sound good to me and it may lose 15 lbs for you in two month. But I just have a problem with the egg. You can sometime eat the egg but egg has a lot of fat and calorie just to tell you. Maybe change it to grill chicken would be more healthy since out of pork, beef, and chicken; chicken is a healthy choices. Also if you may jog about two mille a day, you lose about 600 calories. Either way, good luck on your diet plan and say good bye to 15 lbs. :)
