Minhee Cho posted an image of the receipt on Twitter, which called her "lady chinky eyes."
"Hey @ PapaJohns just FYI my name isn't 'lady chinky eyes,'" Cho tweeted.
The image went viral, and many tweeted complaints to Papa John's, such as "Your employees are your brand."
Papa John's replied to many complaints via Twitter, noting that the employee was being fired.People go berserk over PapaJohn's racial slur -- do minorities need to get over themselves already?
lady chinky eyes sounds kind of cute. but what ever If they were trying to put her in the oven I would say it was a problem. The good thing is that we know our lives are pretty good if this is big news.
Why shouldn't Asians get upset about this? Give me a reason they shouldn't. Papa John's needs to train their employees better.
What if a minority was waiting on you, and labeled your receipt, Honky white girl? I'm sure you'd just laugh it off. I'll just bet.
Re: Angel: Because it's not the end of the world -- Because you brownies say whatever you want to white people (honkies) anyway -- Because you need to stop the f**k whining at some point and raise your children to be mature successful people instead of whining victims.
Sounds like you're the one doing the whining. Rude behavior is unjustifiable no matter what group of people are involved. So, get over it yourself.People go berserk over PapaJohn's racial slur -- do minorities need to get over themselves already?
So you wouldn't be insulted if your papa john's order said "ugly old C***?"
You're just another person who pretends insults don't matter, as long as they're the ones doing the insulting. Why would someone choose to spend their money with someone who routinely insults them, when there are a dozen other brands of identical who won't?
It's always about race with you, and never about manners.
I assume than that you'd be OK with them typing "honkie bimbo" on your receipt?
Edit: While I actually agree with you and would simply laugh at a racial slur(I am white, by the way), I don't expect everyone to agree with me. But then, if you really had the self-esteem you claim, you wouldn't be bothered by others being criticized for using them.
I went into a soul food restaurant and my server said "what you want cracka *** cracka" I replied that I wanted the chicken and waffles
