Do you think it is silly when coaches apologize to fans when their team plays bad?

Most of these apologies come off as just a lame excuse to rip their team for lack of effort. The rest just make the coach sound as if he believes the world revolves around him and his team and he has just committed a global faux-paux! Example: http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/re鈥?/a>

Steve Spurior apologizes for getting creamed in the "Papajohn's Bowl" - as if any one gives a FLICK! Its like someone forgot to tell him that there were other little games on like, well - you know the ROSE BOWL the SUGAR BOWL and the COTTON BOWL! Take heart Steve - the nation will recover from the 2009 papajohn's bowl disappointment - ha!Do you think it is silly when coaches apologize to fans when their team plays bad?
i completely agree! I think the players need to have a part in the apology
no they say the Right things. they say sorry for how their team played a lousy season and how their players werent doing anything right .Do you think it is silly when coaches apologize to fans when their team plays bad?
