Hey...I'm a 5'7.5'' 23 year old male who weighs in the high 150 lbs. (like 157 to be exact)....I'd like to drop 15 lbs by September 1st (about two months away)....this is the diet plan I will be following until then. Can I achieve my goal by doing this? How much do you think I could realistically lose?
Breakfast: 1 cup egg whites with 1 tbsp feta cheese, mushrooms, broccoli/spinach (just steamed)
Lunch: 0% fat plan Greek yogurt (100 calories) with 1 fruit (1 cup blueberries, apple, strawberries, pear, peach etc...just ONE of these to eat with the yogurt)
Dinner: large salad with protein (salmon, grilled chicken)...dressing will be measured and low fat in nature (like 140 cals max)...the rest will be all raw vegetables
Snacks: two more pieces of fruit (peach, apple, pear, etc.)
All drinks will be 0 calories....I also take a 10 cal vitamin everyday and put 1 tbsp low fat coffee creamer in my coffee every morning (20 calories)
Exercise: 8 miles outdoor jogging DAILYCan I lose 15 lbs. by Sept. 1 this way? Please help!?
It looks fine, but keep in mind you should be having 6 small meals a day. I guess that is where the snack come in... Anyway, the food looks great. I am trying to lose weight myself, mind if I steal some recipes? As for dressing for the salad, you could always go with olive oil, or a nice vinaigrette. They are low in calories, because not a lot is in them! 8 miles daily seem a bit too much. Unless you can run a 5 minute mile, you are looking at 80 minutes devoted to running daily! Try running 3 - 4 miles daily, this way you are keeping your body on balance.
I know you can lose the weight! Good luck.
Eat healthy: eat 3 whole meals a day. For your meals, you want something healthy and that fills you up so that you don't get hungry again for a long time. You need to also make healthy choices like eating whole wheat bread or whole grain bread instead of white bread and brown rice instead of white rice. Cut all junk food. They are bad for you and cause weight gain fast. Cut fast food as well! If you get hungry in between your 3 meals, eat a piece of fruit/vegetable, low-fat yogurt, skim milk, or fruit juice. THey are all good and healthy and will burn fat. As well as eating healthy, combine with exercise and you will lose the weight healthfully and easily. Diets don't work in the long run. When you consume too little, or deprive yourself of certain foods, you are also not getting the essential nutrients. That's why everyone gain the weight back and more in diets. Diet's are a plan for fail. INstead, just focus on eating healthy. You will feel better, look better, and perform better. Opt for a healthy lifestyle, not a fad diet. that's how you lose weight and keep it off for good.
For the exercise, don't overdo yourself. Just walking, jogging for 1 hour each day will be more than enough. Rememeber to rest for 1 day of the week. Also, if 1 hour is too long for you, you can BREAK IT DOWN thorughout the day. Nobody said you have to get it all done in one shot, just do some after you wake up, some in the afternoon myabe, and sometime before or after dinner. It's more managaeable that way. Walking, jogging, running or swimming are aerobic/cardio exercises and they burn the most calories and fat. They will make you strengthen or build your muscle and keep you burning more calories and fat.
eat healthy and exercise is the golden rule of losing weight. Good luck hun :)Can I lose 15 lbs. by Sept. 1 this way? Please help!?
Whether you loose this weight or not depends on what your lifestyle was before this crazy diet. For a male you are the ideal weight, but I think it is an attainable goal if you do do all that jogging everyday ... Don't be disappointed if you don't reach it because that just means that your body is in its perfect status ... If you add strength training and maybe less cardio you may be happier with your results. Good luck!
Definatly i you work out 5/6 days a week and eat well , make sure you do eat some carba maybe with dinner ( healthy ones - qinou, wholemeal pasta, sweet potatoes etc) then you will probs lose around 3lbs a week, which over two months is 24lbs so u can have some slack days, dont strve yourself as otherwise weighloss will stop you need to eat regualry to keep up your metabolism, and make sure you have a rest day off exercise to let our body recover.
Don't do the crazy diet, just lower your carbs, raise your protein, and double your vegetables, and work-out(weight-room training), to build up muscle, you're a man, this is a very feminine diet-type thing.
Hi,
Im just a kid, and I noticed my dad is very conscious about his health and weigth

Rice are not actually meant for human to eat (I dont have my source right now
He doesnt work out
