Am I going to get fat?!?

Breakfast: Yoplait super-fruit selections ( yogurt)

Lunch: 1 slice of weight watchers multigrain bread with blueberry jam, half a nectarine and 3 snap peas

Snack: Mott's Fruit-sations apple sauce ( 1/2 cup)

Dinner: Greek salad with Japanese walnut dressing ( lettuce, tomato, red onions, cucumber, bell peppers, feta cheese, walnut dressing) about 12-15 nacho chips with fresh salsa ( form sobeys) and dole juice box ( orange mango peach juice)

Dessert: Pigs ears pastry ( twisted pastry in the shape of a pigs ears, tip was dipped in chocolate, about half way, with cinnamon) and one very small Royal gala apple.



I am 13 years old and about 5 ft tall. I weigh 79 pounds.

Today for an exercise, at school I did a Terry Fox " walk". And at home, I went up and down the stairs 4 times for 4 sets, and some jumping jacks. Am I going to get FAT?! I also had some little bites, but I already, at least I think I burned already with my stair and jumping exercise. Am I going to get FAT?!Am I going to get fat?!?

I'm around 4'11 and 97lbs. and they tell me that I'm almost underweight. You need more calories! I don't see any protein in your diet, you need some! Don't worry, you won't get fat.

You are not going to get fat! your diet in fact needs more protein so that you can grow!



Don't be afraid of your weight. An increase in weight is not a bad thing for you. You are a growing child and need to gain weight (as well as height!)



talk to your doctor or a nutritionist about what diet is appropriate for you if you aren't sure. Until then, keep eating the healthy things in your diet, but for god sakes add something with protein so you can grow! Maybe eat some chicken on your salad. Also you need to drink milk so your bones can grow strong.



Overall: no you are not going to get fat. Eat more protein so you can grow you are tiny. Also be sure to drink lots of milk, as it is important for healthy bones as well as having protein and other vital nutrients in it.
What makes you think you're going to get fat? If this is becoming a problem I suggest you speak to a health care professional before you develop an eating disorder.



I think you should just continue to eat healthy, and exercise regularly but don't over-do it. Your diet doesn't sound very nutritious for your age either.
No. you're not going to get 'fat'. That's a silly notion.

Try eating some protein for lunch to help you feel fuller at lunch.

If you want to keep your weigh tdown follow this easy system:

500 calories MAX for breakfast (this shoudl be your biggest meal cos you have all day to burn it off)

400 for lunch

300 dinner

79 lbs and 5ft tall is quite petite and remember youre still growing so you might put on some weight for boobs and muscle (like abs) when you're older or even now.

Weight gain is normal. you sound really petite so dont worry about weight gain it will be fine.
