I just want to make sure I'm getting enough nutrition in my diet and to make sure I'm eating enough for my growing baby, as my weight gain has slowed down. I'm currently 30 weeks pregnant. Here is an example of what I'm eating on a daily basis;
Breakfast:
8 oz Protein Shake, 1 Apple, 1/2 cup Carrot Sticks
Snack:
Hard Boiled Egg
Lunch:
Large Caesar salad, w/ croutons, cheese, dressing, 1 Peach, 4 oz Greek Yogurt
Snack:
String Cheese, jerky
Dinner:
Brown rice, 2 1/2 cups mixed veggies, 1 chicken breast
Let me know what you think, should I be adding anything? That is of course just an example of one day...I eat a little differently each day like adding a tuna sandwich for lunch and different veggies at dinner but pretty much stay close to what is listed. What do you think of my pregnancy diet?
Sounds good, until those cravings hit!
Sounds good to me, other than the ceasar salad.. the dressing is sometimes made with raw eggs. Other than that, looks great! :) Good luck and congrats! What do you think of my pregnancy diet?
I think ur good sounds great
My doctors told me to stay away from jerky. Take your prenatal, and btw, what is your BMI? It makes a difference, if your on the low side this def isn't enough. Sliding scale is about 1,900 to 2,500 calories a day depending how fit you are.
* If you are: underweight You should gain: about 27 to 40 pounds
* If you are: normal weight You should gain: about 25 to 35 pounds
* If you are: overweight You should gain: about 15 to 25 pounds
* If you are: obese You should gain: about 15 pounds or less
Feed your child, If you are worried about the weight loss it post baby, you can never get these 40weeks back, and neither can your child. Same with if you are over weight, it can lead to lasting damage to you and your child. Consult a doctor, really, I am so surprised with the number of questions on here that people should ask their health care providers or triage nurse over the phone cause its just that easy.
