I drink water all day long. And have Roobis tea and slippery elm tea. I suppose I eat nearly all day long so I feel like I'm eating so much. I also work out at the gym every second day, trying to tone my muscles (but not gain fat). What improvements would you make? Should I be adding more protein?
I suppose I should change my fruit salad to pears or something? Less simple carbs..but I get sugar cravings around that time of day naturally. I see other girls skip meals all day and I feel like...a ravenous beast!Am I eating TOO much or is this ok?
Sounds fine.
Just make sure you eat slightly above maintenanace calories and consume approx 100g of protein per day to build muscle. You may want to add some protein powder after workouts (soya protein is usually lactose free).
Also be sure to lift heavy weights with low reps (3 sets of 8-12) for all muscle groups, which you can do as a 3 day split, i.e. monday, wednesday and friday. At the moment, I would do little to no cardio in order to maximise muscle gains.
Hope this helps.
I dont think you're doing bad at all. 110lbs for a 5'6" girl is pretty impressive, I'd say you definitely have room for error. Besides, it's the look that's most important right? Don't bother with more protein, as you're not trying to build more muscle. And the important thing to keep in mind is that you're also working out as well - most girls who skip meals are also lazy fools who don't understand that skipping meals lowers their metabolism rates over the day.Am I eating TOO much or is this ok?
Eating more often in small amounts is better.....you're doing a good job. Add a little more natural protien though instead of bars and cereal. Eat more beans, nuts and natural rice to get more whole protiens. Your body can become too used to certain kinds of protien that is in things like whey, chicken, and health bars. Plus it's nice to have more variety.
looks OK to me. Some people have slower metabolism and don't have to eat as much food. Maybe you have faster metabolism, so it doesn't matter if you are eating a little bit extra, your body just digests it all easily. You weight is normal. Good luck!
BTW you got more than enough protein for a fully grown adult. So don't worry about that. (I eat way less protein as I am almost vegan, and I do just fine)
You are actually underweight and you are not eating enough, especially if you want to gain muscle. Not eating enough causes the body to eat itself (especially its muscles) so you might wanna eat a bit more (just make sure it's healthy food).
You are eating fine, but I would advise adding more carbs (eg: rice)
Dont worry anout your weight! You're actually underweight (and also my ideal weight :p im also 5'6")
