I haven't been focusing as much as I should lately on my diet. How was today? About how many calories would you say this is? Too many?
oatmeal with 1/4 cup walnuts
banana with 1/2c. 0% greek yogurt
salad (lettuce, 5oz salmon, onion, celery, mustard, 1 tbsp relish) and 2 pieces whole grain toast
1 piece of whole grain bread with turkey and 1 piece of cheese
small baked potato
cup of grapes
few whole grain cracker
small salad with 1 tbsp light dressing and turkey
Was this too many calories today?
Tips to improve?I've been slacking? How was today?
What about beverages? Many people forget to include those but they are definitely important since most of them have calories except water, coffee and diet drinks. What about tomatoes in your salads? They are super healthy for you. Do you like yams? They are WAY healthier for you than a baked potato. Baked potatoes are basically empty calories (very little nutrients, besides the skin having a good source of fiber). Also, make sure the bread says 100% whole grain on the label, otherwise, it's notany healthier for you than white bread, which is just pointless as far as nutrition goes. As far as calories go, it really depends on your height, weight and sex. Men need more calories. From what you've said, your diet seems well balanced and healthy. As far as calories go, it really depends on what your goal is. Weight loss or just to be healthy? As of right now, this diet needs to be cut down a little for weight loss....I've been slacking? How was today?
