I made a mean greek salad today:
roasted red pepper (roasted with sea salt and olive oil) watercress, spinach and rocket leaves.
sweet cherry tomatoes sliced halves.
very thinly sliced cucumber, (cheat I used a potatoe grater) chopped spring onion
feta cheese crumbled.
mixed ground pepper.
olive oil as dressing.
what do you think of it? any other ideas of what I could add? What do you think of my mean greek salad?
sounds delicious.
to make it better, add salt and pepper and put it in the fridge, cold salad always tastes better.
:)
I always add pitted Kalamata olives .... and I cut my peeled cucumbers into cubes (that's the way I've always had it at Greek restaurants) .......Oh! I also add chopped fresh Greek oreganoWhat do you think of my mean greek salad?
does anybody even care.
rabbit food 0.o
It sounds quite appetizing actually.
Doesn't really need more adding because you might overdue it, but of you must, you could include red onion and/or oregano.
No very mean.
Technically that's not even a proper Greek salad - you've just put things in that sounds "Greek".
Nobody likes floppy cucumber in a salad either. What is it? Some sort of house wife's trick???
I would add some Greek olives, but everything else sounds yummy
YUM!!!!! but i'm not a fan of tamatoes, but other than that yummy! for my salads i also make home made croutons-just spread olive oil (i mix in herbs too) on the bread and grill/bake
One or two black olives?
sounds like a WINNER!
enjoy... i think i am going to make that, too!
Lovely, but I would add olives (pref kalamata) and chopped red onion instead of spring onion (but that's just me....)
